David has been a Middlesex member since 1980, joining the Executive Board in 2009 and becoming Treasurer in January 2016. He has also been a Seaxe Club member since 1981. David fulfilled the role of editor of the Middlesex Annual Review between 1990 and 1999 and served as an occasional 1st XI scorer for Middlesex between 1989 and 1994. Since 1995, he has been the England scorer for all international matches at Lord’s and, since 2007, a member of the ICC's Cricket Committee with particular responsibility for drafting international playing regulations. David developed and still maintains the ICC men’s and women’s team rankings for Test, ODI and T20Is. He is President of the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians and an honorary member of the Association of Cricket Officials. In his professional life, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries working for a major insurance group in London, specialising in insurance risk, corporate strategy and model oversight.
David is an MCC Full member.
