ED&I STRATEGY

MIDDLESEX COUNTY CRICKET CLUB - ED&I STRATEGY

At Middlesex we consider cricket to be more than just a game, it is an instrument for unity, belonging, diversity and inclusion. Our club has a proud history that dates back to 1864, but we remain at the heart of our communities, and we aspire to continue to embed ourselves within our communities. I am delighted to introduce the first Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategy, a commitment to making our club a truly inclusive environment for everyone.

Cricket has the power to bring people together across background, cultures and experiences - it truly is a game for everyone. However we acknowledge on our EDI journey we need to do more, we need to ensure our club reflects our communities that we serve. The strategy outlines clear, measurable actions to achieve those goals we have set to be the most inclusive club.

Through this plan we aspire to break down barriers, increase our representation, foster a culture of belonging and fairness at every level of our organisation. We will work to create pathways for underrepresented groups, create initiatives that promote inclusivity, and hold ourselves accountable for our progress. We will listen to lived experiences, collaborate with our communities and challenge discrimination in all its forms.

I want to thank everyone that has shaped our club to a more inclusive and diverse club and contributed to the strategy. This is not just a document but a commitment to EDI in Cricket, a commitment we will work tirelessly towards.

We want to build a future where everyone is inspired to be a part of the game we all love.
