ECB COACHES ASSOCIATION
The overarching national authority for cricket coaches is the ECBCA, the purpose of which is to inspire participation and maximise performance of cricket coaches and players. The ECBCA enables individuals to obtain formal coaching qualifications and accreditation, through coach education, and supports them through their coaching journeys.
Once coaches have completed coaching courses in Middlesex, we encourage them to register with the EBECA. We run a mix of our own, and ECB-organised, CPD modules throughout the year to ensure all coaches can keep up to date with new practices within Cricket.

Bursaries for Coaches
Coaching is a challenging, but enormously rewarding role within our game - players need expertise, support and passion at all levels of their development. MITC are committed to ensuring we have a bursary programme for aspiring coaches. Bursaries are funded by the generous support provided by the England and Wales Cricket Trust - they aim to increase the diversity of learners taking their firsts steps into coaching. Groups that are in scope for bursary funding are:
A bursary can be awarded to learners that register on ECB Support Coach, ECB Foundation Coach or ECB Core Coach programmes between 1st December 2025 and 30th November 2026. Anyone wanting to access coach development that is experiencing financial hardship will be awarded a bursary of up to 100% of the national price of the programme. Once an applicant receives confirmation they will need to complete their programme registration using a discount code to redeem their bursary.
Anyone wanting to access coach development that is female, from an ethnically diverse community, has a disability who is not experiencing financial hardship will be awarded a bursary for up to 50% of the national price of the programme. Once an applicant receives confirmation they will need to complete their programme registration and make full payment and upon attendance at face-to-face modules receive a refund to redeem their bursary.
If you require a bursary please fill in this form. If you have any questions, please contact Raj Nath on r[email protected].

CPD WORKSHOPS IN ASSOCIATION WITH METRO BANK
MITC are delighted to announce a new series of four CPD Workshops designed for all coaches involved in the Women and Girls’ game across the county. This exciting opportunity comes through the ECB’s partnership with Metro Bank — the first ever Champion of Women and Girls’ Cricket — part of which aims to create meaningful development opportunities for coaches working in this area.
As part of this initiative, we’ve developed a dedicated programme of workshops led by Middlesex professional staff who work within our Women's and Girls’ talent pathway. Each session will focus on supporting coaches to enhance their skills, share best practices, and continue building a positive, inclusive environment for female players at all levels.
We’re thrilled to offer this opportunity to strengthen coaching across the Women's and Girls’ game and look forward to welcoming coaches from clubs and schools across the county to take part.
